Sometimes, Emil Richards brought the glass marimba to sessions to see if composers wanted to use it along with or in place of glockenspiel, often doubling the part in order to bring new timbre and texture to the music.
Glass marimba has a bell-like quality in this repeating motive from The Bourne Supremacy (2004) by composer John Powell.
